Heritage seeking China trips
with fellow overseas Chinese,
designed by Chinese Americans

Where are

you from?

Where are

you really from?

For many of us of Asian descent living outside of Asia, this question was directed at us, sometimes from a place of curiosity but also from being seen as "other".

Even from a place of curiosity, this question often feels like a puzzle with missing pieces if your family hasn't told you about their past.

We understand. As Chinese Americans from immigrant families with complicated relationships with our Chinese identities, we didn't really become dive deep into our Chinese heritage until we took a trip to China in 2023.

Why Are We Different?

Authentic, Culturally
Immersive Experiences

On our trips, Grace and Yongjian will bring you to try authentic, regional cuisine in China, engage with locals (think dumpling making or tai chi in the park with locals), learn about our ancestors at overseas Chinese museums and temples, and walk the off-the-beaten paths of modern cities and ancient villages in China.

Small, Close-Knit Cohorts, Lifelong Friendships

Say goodbye to loud tour buses, tourist traps, and massive groups with tour guides who don't get to know you. Every cohort of our trips, planned and led by Grace and Yongjian, along with a vetted bilingual tour guide, has no more than 10 travelers so you can find future travel buddies and build life-long friendships and learnings.

Custom Designed for
Overseas Chinese

We are children of Chinese immigrants who have repaired our relationships with our families and ourselves and we want to help you overcome your fears of traveling to China. We also have custom-designed curriculum that will help you do deep reflection and have meaningful conversations about your identity with your fellow travelers before, during, and after the trip.

Why We Started From Roots to Bridges

In 2023, Grace and Yongjian took a self-organized heritage trip to our ancestral hometowns. In planning our trip to China, we had many challenges, but the experience was life-changing because we were exposed to the cultural, historical, and culinary diversity of China. We want to help you reconnect with your heritage homeland.
